Mid-Week Musings from Lead Pastor Todd Malone
My experience on Sunday morning was different from most of my Sunday morning experiences. That is because I had spent the week studying Revelation 7 and thinking about how amazing it is that the King of Heaven pursued me when I had nothing to offer Him. I could not get the image out of my mind of what it will be like to worship around the throne in heaven. I could not get over God’s love for me. I want to walk into church that way every Sunday morning. But to do so requires time worshipping God during the week.
How to pray for FBC
This week in the 40 Days of Prayer we are praying for the Worship ministry. The Lord uses worship to shape what we love, what we desire. Through worship, we come to love and desire the Lord more. Pray that FBCers come to love the Lord more through the ministry of worship.
How to pray for our Community
Last week we prayed for the families of children returning to school. Let’s focus on the teachers and staff this week. They are gearing up for classes, which means significant prep work. Pray that they will be ready. Pray that the Christian teachers and staff are able to impact their students for the Lord.
How to pray for our World
We had two mass shootings within a day of each other last week. I cannot imagine the grief these families are experiencing. Pray that these families will come to know the God of all Comfort [2 Cor 1]. You will hear more about this passage on Sunday.
