Mid-Week Musings from Lead Pastor Todd Malone

Todd Malone

I prefer to be my own authority. I do not want anyone telling me what I need to change or how I need to grow. But this is an important part of spiritual growth. I am trying to take stock of where I tend to be defensive or unteachable. I am asking the Lord to soften my heart.

How to pray for FBC
We are praying for our leaders in this week’s 40 Days of Prayer. Focus on praying for wisdom for how to use our resources wisely.

How to pray for our Community
I am hearing more stories of FBCers building relationships with co-workers, neighbors, and others and inviting them to Bible studies or reading the Bible together. Pray that we connect with more people in East Texas and gain  opportunities to share God’s Word.

How to pray for our World
Our missionaries constantly face the challenge of ministering with fewer resources than they would like. Pray for their wisdom to make the most of what God has given them.

40 Days of Prayer

The 40 Days of Prayer is off to a great start. I am hearing stories of how people are being impacted by this dedicated focus on prayer. I want to share those stories with one another. We will take time out of the service on August 25 to share how God has been at work during the 40 Days. Start thinking about how you would like to testify to God’s work during the 40 Days.
