Mid-Week Musings from Lead Pastor Todd Malone
Days are so busy that it’s hard to pause and think, even for just five minutes. Honestly, it’s not even that I can’t find 5 minutes, but I get so focused I forget to look. This is my reminder to myself to look for 5 minutes to reflect on signs that I am at peace with God. What signs will He give today that He is working in my life for my good? I have already received an unexpected text from a friend – a nice encouragement. That is a small grace from God, who loves me.
HOW TO PRAY FOR FBC
FBC’s Women’s Retreat is this weekend. I am hearing amazing news about how it’s coming together and the turn out that is expected. Please pray that women in the church connect well with one another and the Lord.
HOW TO PRAY FOR OUR COMMUNITY
It seems that Flu is on the loose in Longview. I am sure that other bugs are also on the prowl. Bottom line: many schools are seeing lots of students out with illness. Please pray for protection for area children and seniors during this season of sickness.
HOW TO PRAY FOR OUR WORLD
Wuhan, China has made international news as the epicenter of the coronavirus that has killed many in China and infected some people outside of China. FBC took a couple of missions trips to Wuhan several years ago – I was on both of them. I can picture the city, the people I met and shared with, and many Christians who are faithfully serving there. I do not know how this crisis is affecting ministry in Wuhan, but I am praying that people will find Jesus in the midst of crisis.
