It is time for a favorite fall event at FBC!
Friendsgiving will be Saturday, November 14, from 11:30 AM – 3 PM in the Gym. We will start off with a soup/stew/chili contest and a dessert contest. Come ready to eat some delicious food!
Some of our local ministry partners will also be there so that you can get to know more about these ministries. At 1 PM we will start to work on projects for various local ministries:
- Make freezer meals for families in Buckner Pathways program
- Fill backpacks for the homeless that come use the showers at Fresh Start
- Make Fall and Christmas crafts for those at Buckner Westminster and Longview Community Ministries Meals with Love
- Assemble bags for clients of Mercy Manor, YoungLives, Christian Men’s Job Corps, and Pathways
- Roll silverware for Meals with Love
- Sort donations at Legacy Closet
- Wrap presents for our missionary kids
- Make bed frames for Beds of Hope
- Assemble bags for Heartisans to use in their store
- Assemble diaper bags for Mercy Manor clients
Come make a difference in our community while we fellowship and eat good food. You do not need to enter a contest to come. Signups to attend and enter the contests are not required but are appreciated. We hope to see you there! It is a great way for families to serve together.
