Week 6 — That All May Know

Week Six’s Key Passage

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.  John 13:34-35 (ESV)

You might notice the signs in our lobby that say That All May Know. It is our theme for 2019 and it is based on these verses in John. Jesus commands us to love one another, because it is crucial for reaching the world. Our relationships with one another matter.

Friday – Sunday’s Service

The final purpose of the church that we will discuss in our series is making disciples. A disciple is someone who lives out the intention of becoming more like Jesus. This is the core of our assignment from Jesus: make disciples. Pray that FBC will be a disciple-making church.

Sunday’s passage will be Matthew 28:18-20.

18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (ESV)

Thank you for praying with us through these 40 days!
